About National Wind

Our Community Model

Minneapolis-based National Wind is a leading community-partnered, wind energy development company. We develop utility-scale (50 megawatts or larger) wind farms enabling property owners and the community to share in the economic benefits. Our portfolio consists of wind projects in operation or under development in the upper Midwest and Plains States.

Since inception in 2007, National Wind has successfully developed and sold three projects with total capacity of 220 megawatts. We currently have seven projects with total capacity of 1,828 MW, five of which are ready for construction and commercial operation in 2013. National Wind is wholly owned by Trishe Wind Energy, a multinational conglomerate with offices in London, holding infrastructure assets in North America and India in excess of $100 million.
