Meet the BoardHigh Country Energy, LLC has elected a dedicated advisory group of area community members who are all connected to agriculture. The advisory group, made up of eight members, have all invested in the development along with their manager, National Wind, LLC. They are excited and proud to bring a project of this magnitude to the southeastern Minnesota area and to provide an excellent economic resource for the community. The board will serve to advise and inform on all the issues involved in the development process. Their goal is to promote local participation and awareness of the project and to work closely with the landowners throughout every stage. They want to give the people involved the opportunity to influence the project in a positive way. Your current board members as of June 2010 are: Barry Rogne, Bryant Hokeness, Dan Hoffman, Eric Lee, Ken Binkley, John Meyer and Lisa Heggedahl. The board has implemented a schedule to rotate out members once a year and fill the newly opened seats through an election. In 2008, Kevin Green and Larry Larson graciously gave up their seats on the board. The newly elected members were Lisa Heggedahl and John Meyer. All of High Country Energy's new board members provide fresh input and valuable feedback to help facilitate the development process, providing an open forum for community insight.
