John and his wife Linda live and farm in Rock Dell Township, raising corn, soybeans, hay, oats, and some livestock. They have a total of seven children. "I believe in this model for a wind farm more than any other. It allows the landowners to actually own a piece of the project and have a voice in the use of their land, and the community to be involved and have its concerns heard. Community ownership will help to ensure that this project works to create a positive environment for everyone involved, and something that we can be proud of for generations to come. All of the neighbors in this project, including those who do not participate, will want to cooperate with each other during all phases of planning and construction, as well as once it has been completed, and this type of project model is the only one that inherently considers that aspect of its impact."
